Timothy Hearsum … received his BFA from Ohio University and his MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop, State University of New York at Buffalo. He has served on the faculties of the State University of New York at Brockport; the Rochester Institute of Technology; the University of California, Santa Barbara; and Brooks Institute of Photography. He has also worked as Curator of Photographs for the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

Hearsum’s work is in over 400 private, corporate and public collections including the Museums of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco; the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House in Rochester, NY; the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego; the Chicago Institute of Design; and the Smithsonian Institute. He has also participated in numerous one-person and group exhibitions including those at the Oakland Museum, the San Diego Museum of Art, the Maine Photographic Workshop, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the Louisville Photo Archive and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

Since the early 80’s, Hearsum has shown in Santa Fe at the Museum of Fine Arts; the Center for Contemporary Art; James Hart Photography Exhibition Space; and at Addison Arts, EVO, LewAllen Contemporary, Peyton Wright, and Karen Wight, Galleries. His panoramic photographs were selected in 2003 by the New Mexico Arts, Art in Public Places Program and in 2005 by the Santa Fe Arts Commission to be the “2005-2006 City of Santa Fe Poster.”
